A minute and a half. Press Start and the clock counts down from 1:30, keeps going if you switch tabs, and beeps when it is done.
What people use a 90 second timer for
- Rest between sets at the gym, or between hard rounds of a HIIT workout.
- Microwave rice pouches, many of which heat in about 90 seconds.
- Practicing your answer to "Tell me about yourself" for a job interview.
- Each person's turn in a stand-up meeting, so updates stay short.
How this timer works
- It remembers the moment it will end, so it stays right when you switch tabs or your phone locks.
- At zero it plays a few short beeps, vibrates on phones that can, and shows "Time's up" in the tab title.
- While it runs it asks the screen to stay on. Full screen makes the numbers big enough to read across a room.

Questions people ask
How long should you rest between sets?
It depends on the goal. For building muscle, 60 to 90 seconds is a common range. Heavy strength work usually gets longer, often two to five minutes, and light circuits less.
Can I set 1 minute 35 seconds instead?
Yes. The custom timer takes hours, minutes and seconds, and a link sets it for you: /timer?t=95 opens it at 1:35. The link only sets the time; you still press Start.
Does the timer work without an internet connection?
Once the page has loaded, yes. The timer runs in your browser and does not need the network to count down or to beep.
Counting down to a date rather than a few minutes? The countdown maker works for any day, and with Pro the Countdown app puts it on your iPhone Lock Screen.
