10 years, 4 months and 12 days
That is 3,786 days in all, or 540 weeks and 6 days.

How it counts
Your date is day 0. The next day makes 1 day together, and you reach 100 days 100 days after the date. Years and months go by the calendar: married on June 18, you have been together a whole number of years every June 18, and a whole number of months on the 18th. If your date is the 31st, a month without a 31st completes on its last day. A February 29 date has its anniversary on February 28 in common years.
Day milestones
Counting days is mostly a dating thing, and the round numbers come along faster than you might think:
- 100 days: a little over three months. In Korea the 100th day is a proper celebration, with gifts.
- 365 days: one year, or 366 if a February 29 falls inside it.
- 500 days: about a year and four months.
- 1,000 days: about two years and nine months.
- 5,000 days: about 13 years and 8 months. 10,000 days comes at about 27 years and 4 months.
Planning the wedding rather than looking back on it? The wedding countdown counts down to the day. For any other start date, days since a date does the same sum without the anniversary.
Keep the count on your phone
The Countdown app for iPhone can count up from a date as well as down to one. Add your anniversary as a count-up and the days together are there whenever you open it. Milestone alerts tell you when you reach 100 days, a year and 1,000 days. Both are in the free version.
Questions people ask
How many days have we been together?
Enter your wedding date or the day you got together above. The total counts every day since then, leap days included, with the start date as day 0.
When is our 1,000th day together?
About 2 years and 9 months after your start date; the calculator gives the exact day. 100 days comes a little over three months in, and 500 days about a year and four months in.
Do you count the first day?
Here, no: the day after your date is 1 day together, and day 100 is 100 days after it. Some couples count the first day as day 1, as is usual in Korea, which puts every milestone one day earlier.
Our anniversary is February 29. When do we celebrate?
The calculator puts it on February 28 in years without a leap day, the date most people pick. Some couples choose March 1 instead; it is your call.
What is the traditional gift for each anniversary?
The best-known US list goes paper for the first, cotton for the second, leather for the third, wood for the fifth, tin or aluminum for the tenth, silver for the 25th and gold for the 50th.
