About this countdown
Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The number above is the whole days left until launch in your own time zone, with today not counted, and the clock under it runs down to midnight on release day.
- The date has moved twice. Rockstar first said fall 2025, then May 26, 2026, and then November 19, 2026. Take-Two has said more than once since that November will hold.
- Preloading opens on November 12, a week early, so the download can be out of the way before launch night.
- The game is set in Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with Vice City at its center. The two leads are Lucia and Jason.
- There is no date for a PC version yet. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both reached PC more than a year after the console release.
