About this countdown
Anzac Day is 25 April, the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915. Australia and New Zealand use the day to remember everyone who has served and died in war. This page counts down to it in your own time zone.
- Anzac Day 2027 falls on a Sunday.
- Dawn services start before sunrise, followed by marches later in the morning.
- When 25 April falls on a weekend, whether there is an extra day off depends on the state.
- Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
