In weeks, months and sleeps
Weeks and months are counted from today in your own time zone, the same way as the day count. "Sleeps" is the number of nights before the end of the financial year, which is the same as the days if you count tonight.
Keep this countdown on your iPhone.
Countdown shows the same count on your home and lock screens and reminds you as the day gets close.
About this countdown
Australia's financial year ends on 30 June. This page counts down to that day, the last one for deductible purchases, donations and super contributions to count on this year's tax return.
- 30 June 2027 is a Wednesday.
- If you lodge your own tax return, it is due by 31 October. Registered tax agents can lodge later for their clients.
- EOFY sales run through June, and the biggest discounts tend to come in the last two weeks.
- A super contribution only counts once the fund has received it, so paying on the last day can be too late. Most funds suggest getting it in by mid-June.
